Mission

The Bitterroot Financial Education Coalition (BFEC) is a partnership of Ravalli County organizations working to improve lives and strengthen our community by providing access to financial education that prepares individuals for life-long success in problem solving, decision making, and personal financial competence.

Formed in June 2011 as a project of the Bitterroot RC&D, organizations came together to address the need for a coordinated county-wide educational effort.  Affiliates have always offered components of personal finance education, but no one’s been looking to see where there might be duplication or gaps; there was little resource or information sharing.  The BFEC was formed to get agencies working together to reduce any redundancies, improve efficiency, and make a much more comprehensive package of personal finance education available.
